Product Spotlight: Marley Natural Water Pipe Smoked Glass with Gold Stripe Decal

In the many years that I’ve been a stoner, I’ve smoked out of a lot of different glassware from the incredibly complicated artisan glass sculpture to the filthy oil-slick colored bong that lived at my brother in a law’s college house. It wasn’t until the pandemic shutdown that I finally set out to find my new best bong friend, it was not an easy search but when I found the Marley Natural Smoked Glass Water Pipe I knew I had found the one.

First, a note on the company, the smoking glass market is filled with companies cashing on the current rise of cannabis and selling inferior and drop shipped products with no concern for the stoner culture or the stoners themselves. Marley Natural is definitely run by the current living relatives of the King of Cannabis and Reggae himself Bob Marley. They make high-quality products and also have a significant social conscience supporting philanthropic endeavors in Jamaica and the United States and helping fund nonviolent cannabis offenders expunge their criminal records. So while the products are definitely premium you’ll know your money is going towards a good cause and not some cynical drop shipper with no love for cannabis or its adherents in their heart. 

At an aesthetic level, the whole Marley Natural line is top-tier. Their line of clear glassware with wood accents has a level of class without being gaudy or pretentious, however, my preference is for the smoked glassware. I love the dark sharp look of the smoked glass and the dark color keeps your glass from looking dirty after a few uses. The classic beaker bong design is classic for a reason it’s not gonna be subtle on a shelf but if you’re proud of your glass why try to disguise it? 

During my time with this bong I had shared it many times with fellow stoner friends and family and all can attest that it is among the smoothest, most satisfying bong hits they've experienced.
Many high-end bongs boast about all the complex glass pieces and bits and bobs meant to help the hit, the Marley Natural way is about simplicity the downstem percolator has 8 slits to break up the smoke before it hits the water, a spacious chamber, and an ice disk in the stem to cool off a hit if desired. I believe anything beyond those simple features is overkill and only adds more elements that can break when it comes down to it so I think simple is better. 

With a $160 price tag, this bong is definitely an investment but it's one you will not regret. This is a piece that you will cherish and love wholeheartedly. The build quality is unparalleled; the hits are smooth, and it’s a cause that you’ll feel good about. I highly recommend this product and can say with confidence the whole Marley Natural line is filled with well-made products for the modern stoner who doesn’t forget about the roots of the culture.
